Chocolate and Studying

Well I didn’t wake up any earlier than I do when I stay out til 3:00am… But I did feel more rested which made for a productive day of studying. After showering and devouring two apples, I went to one of our building’s lounges and studied for a solid two hours. Then I came back to my room, which was surprisingly empty! I wrote a short extra credit paper for Contemporary Government about this and just chilled out for a while.

Then I headed to the gym because I remembered my goal to “sweat more” this month and because I always sleep better after exercising. I did 30 minutes of “variety” on the elliptical which actually had me breaking a sweat pretty quickly. Then I headed to the dining hall for dinner. For lack of any better description, it pretty much sucked. The salad bar which usually has four choices of lettuce including spinach and mixed baby greens only had two choices, iceberg and romaine. I managed to make an okay salad though. On the side I had steamed broccoli with marinara sauce and a baked sweet potato. After eating and reviewing some terms for History and American Government, I put some kashi and cheerios in a cup to go and headed back to my dorm. Luckily, my sweet tooth had something to look forward to.

Greg bought this for me yesterday while we were in the city. I ate half of it last night.. and just finished the other half a few minutes ago. I was going to try to save some, I really was. But clearly I have a difficult time resisting dark chocolate and almonds! I would definitely recommend this bar.
